Architect Nevzat Sayın's exhibition titled "Duvar" (Wall) took place at the Millî Reasürans Art Gallery from November 15 to December 8, 2007. A book was prepared for the exhibition in both Turkish and English.

"One of the most frequently heard sentences by an architect who underwent education among the aphorisms of Modernism was that the exterior of a structure naturally emerges as a result of the analysis of the interior space, and there is no need for additional effort for the exterior. This proposition was indeed dubious, as it became evident that almost all evaluations of a structure began externally, suggesting that this statement could not be true. There had to be a common solution for both the interior and exterior without deviating from the requirements of both sides. This thought turned the wall, standing at the cross-section between the interior and exterior, into a highly significant architectural element. Initially directly related to architecture, this issue of the wall branched out and became the 'thing' I was most curious about. As humans learned to stand on their two feet and defy gravity to assume an upright position, they also learned to construct the wall, a vertical creation. Using all available materials, they erected the tallest, longest, thickest walls. They tore down the walls of others and built new ones for themselves. Today, and undoubtedly in the future, we will continue to deal with walls: to build and to demolish. The wall, forming the cross-section between the interior and exterior, is often attempted to be understood and interpreted with a definition that starts from what is in front and behind it. However, the wall, in addition to its purpose of construction, has a special significance in itself. In truth, what I am most curious about is this 'being itself' state." (Nevzat Sayın, FOL Issue 7 / 1997)

The Milli Reasürans Art Gallery continues its exhibitions in the field of architecture with the "Duvar" exhibition by Nevzat Sayın, one of today's prominent architects. Instead of an architectural presentation exhibition with projects and photographs, the concept of "wall," proposed by Bülent Erkmen, led to the exhibition featuring photographs of Nevzat Sayın's walls and short explanatory texts about these walls.

Cemal Emden photographed Sayın's walls, selected from structures with different functions in various regions of Turkey, and Bülent Erkmen served as the secret curator and designer of the exhibition.

The entire work has evolved into a continuation of an article from ten years ago, exploring the 'being itself' state of the wall.
